Re: Billups trade final. -Reply

That same reply carried no weight earlier this year when folks were panning
Billups' stats when compared to Brevin Knight, Antonio Daniels as well as
other more experienced guards. Billups played less minutes than them all.

        mpg - fgm/a - % - 3pt/a - % - ftm/a - % - apg -
l - ppg

BK: 31.4 - 158/368 - 429 - 0/4 - 00 - 122/156 - 78 - 8.3 -131 - 8.8
AD: 30.0 - 173/418 - 414 - 7/41 - 17 - 91/136 - 67 - 5.6 - 39 - 8.9
CB: 25.4 - 177/454 - 390 - 64/189-34 -147/180 - 82 - 4.3 - 77 - 11.1

And just by comparison, here's Kenny Anderson's:

KA: 32.7 - 204/527 - 387 - 47/133-35 -112/145 -77 - 5.4 - 61 -12.6

Is anyone willing to say that his stats may have been better if he had
received more minutes, other than myself?
All I'm saying is this. Chauncey Billups, having no previous experience as
a point guard, did not embarrass himself or the team. In fact he quite
possibly did as well as could be realistically expected. And there is no
reason to believe that he won't improve in the future, the same as every
other rookie. I still hope CB does well when he plays against us. BUT I
HOPE WE WIN!!
