Trade for Anderson

Speculation that Boston may have been preparing for a trade began
when guards Chauncey Billups and Dee Brown were pulled from the
original starting lineup and did not play.

The Celtics said a deal did not go through, but coach Rick Pitino
admitted it was "all but done." Speculation has Billups, Brown
and forward Roy Rogers going to Toronto for Kenny Anderson, who
has yet to report to the Raptors after his trade from Portland.

"We think that if it does come through, it'll be a home run for
us to have a guy like Kenny Anderson," Pitino said. "It'll
definitely be a very good situation for us."

"Coach said there might be a trade in the making, you just don't
know yet," Billups said. "You gotta wait and see. It's strange to
be in a position like this, but that's just how it goes. "
