Gorman

I think it's safe to say that when the announcer has every reason to
believe you're watching the game as well as listening, it isn't
necessary for him to give play by play as the radio guys would have to
do. Mike Gorman has won awards for his announcing of Celtic (and other)
games. I think he's terrific. Anyway, it's hard for him to get a word
in edgewise with Tommy there. Don't get me wrong, I love Tommy, but
sometimes he'd be better off to keep quiet rather than repeat the same
old things over and over. I've always believed Mike gives Tommy the
respect he feels he deserves, with his knowledge of the game, etc. He
will sometimes point out that he thinks Tommy perhaps didn't see
something and therefore didn't understand why a foul was called, etc.
It's hard for them to see much with Pitino constantly in front of them.
They have to depend on their monitors much of the time.

As for Cooz, one more time - he's probably the best point guard to ever
play professional basketball and his knowledge of the game is awesome.
He is critical only because he knows the team watches the tapes and he
thinks they can profit from what he's saying. Who has a better right?
He (and Tommy, too) are part of the Celtic Dynasty. Who has a better
right? So he has a speech impediment? So what? You can understand
him, can't you? Believe me, we could do much worse in the announcer
field.
