So should we praise him for throwing a tiffy because the play wasn't
designed for him to take the last shot?  Anything can happen in the last few
seconds.  He may have been forced to shoot for many reasons: Other players
could be well covered; Pip could've been in rebounding position; A
deflection etc.  Bottom line is, despite his talent, he isn't the
leader-type, though he could be, and that much balleyhooed incident is one
reason why.

I don't believe we should seriously think of Geiger at this point.  A bad
back for a player his size makes me very leery of giving him bucks,
especially in Pitino's defence.  He may never return to his previous level.
Longley might be a better choice but I'd prefer someone younger and more
athletic.
