A few weeks ago I went by the sports bar that Xavier McDaniel has opened
here in Columbia.  Of course, I had on a Celtic hat.  X came over and
said, "Bentz, I have to hand it to you.  You must be true fan after
sticking with them last year.  You never took your colors off."

I took it as a compliment.  And a comment on fair weather fans these
days.  I guess X couldn't understand what it is like to have rooted for
this team since I was aware of the NBA some time back to at least 1963.
Go Russel, Bailey Howell, etc down to today.  I bleed green and would
not pay the least bit of attention to the NBA if I did not love the
Celtics.  I have quit watching the NFL, college football, all college
basketball except the final four and the Gamecocks, pro baseball, etc,
ESPN, cut off cable, but I still love the Celtics.

Next year we will be in the playoffs.
