So....how much should the Celtics pay Antoine? Earlier in the year someone
on this list said that he didn't think Walker was worth between $10-20 mil.
per year!?! Leaving aside the theory that nobody is worth 10-20 mil., given
the reality of NBA salaries, do the Celtics go above $15 mil. to keep
Walker? Look around the league, look at his talent, and does anybody really
think that $15 mil. wouldn't be a steal for the Celtics? Walker's a huge
talent guys. This team goes nowhere without him. If not for Antoine, this
is the Sacramento Kings mailing list. Just for the hell of it, I'm going to
predict that both sides agree to $17 mil., and I agree with those who've
said that they have to sign him this summer and not wait 'til he's a free
agent. This team can't afford to screw around with this kid and risk losing
him. He's too good and it would be a little "discouraging" to see him
winning a championship on some other team.
