Re: At the On Hoops site, more C's debate

You have got to like Knight at $3M a year better than Macilvaine at $5, or
these other basically unproven guys like Garnett or Wallace at $14M to
$20M. Signing 1 or 2 players at ridiculous contracts will probably
eliminate their chances of ever going far in the playoffs due to the lack
of team depth. IMO unless you have MJ, a team 6-7 deep beats a team 3 deep
every time.

picks and two second-rounders. Denver basically got back the two
second-round picks it gave up in the Eric Williams trade. What if Boston
had held on to Williams, THEN dangled him and two #1 picks of their own in
exchange for McDyess? Pitino said he needed to move Williams when he did
because he wanted to sign Mills ASAP. But does anybody out there in TV land
think a frontcourt of Chris Mills and Walker looks better than a pairing of
McDyess and Walker?

I don't see Antoine ever playing the 3 spot unless he drastically improves
his outside shot, passing & ball handling skills.

Declercq's one of those Kurt Rambis type players who may not have the best
skills, but goes out and gives it his all every night.
