If Radja had known what the Celtics had in mind, perhaps he would have
given an affirmative response when Wallace saw him Thursday and asked
him to stay in the Boston area the entire summer. The forward said he
couldn't and indicated he would return to New England a few days before
training camp. That didn't excite Pitino.
His answer ``sealed his fate in what we were going to do,'' the coach said.
While he respects every player's right to take time off, Pitino believes
``everybody should be going out of their skin to make sure'' a 15-win
season doesn't happen again. ``That's extremely embarrassing,'' Pitino said.
