Last night i heard 2 bits of info worth passing along.

On channel 68 SportsNight, Butch had a report from Pitino about the trade
and some other info.  He said that Pitino said that he wouldn't take Mercer
with the #3 pick but that he would consider taking him at #6.

On WEEI last night, Ted Serandis had one of these draft gurus on, and he
said that Van Horn has expressed a disinterest in playing for Philly. 
Supposedly Van Horn said that if Philly takes him then he will play his
hardest for them, but he would rather not play for them.  Philly may shy
away from him because of this, even though Van Horn's stock is back up to
top 3 status.  This isn't good for those of us hoping Battie will be there
at 3, because Van Horn was one of the guys that Philly may have taken over
him.  I still don't believe they will take Billups, and i won't believe it
until i see it.  They dug themselves into this hole when they took Iverson
over Stephon Marbury (who everyone thought was a better and more true point
guard than Iverson), so now they should at least give Iverson one more year
at the point before giving up on him.
