I believe that Dee Brown did sugn his contract while ML Carr was in charge. However, it was a deal that Gavitt and Brown had agreed to before Gavitt stepped down. So, all ML did was honor Gavitt's agreement. (Although, given what we've learned about ML since then, he probably would have signed Brown to a similar deal anyway.) Michael Byrnes mbyrnes@stanford.edu
