Finally!

Dino is gone...what a relief. For my part, I'm a lot more excited about
Strong than DeClerq, but only because I've never seen the latter play. They
say he's a tough guy, which is something we always had and need now. I
always thought that the ultimate characteristic of celtics players was
neither unselfishness, brains, desire, etc as much as toughness.

Anyway -- I doubt there are any trades on the horizon, at least not until
Dana Barros is healthy enough to showcase. As for Knight, it couldn't be
more obvious that he is here to play. Daleesandro is not as sharp as Sean
Powell yet....Jackie McMullan is slipping too. Do Vecesy and Mitch Lawrence
still work, or are they in Hawaii?

Re Next Year: I thought this recent post was the most intelligent
prediction I have seen. Makes a lot of sense. I think fouls, along with
three point shooting, will win or lose a lot of games for us. But I think we
can make the playoffs...the lower tier of playoff teams are not that much
better than the Celtics, and if we could have a few win streaks, we could
well end up at 500 at the end, as as Minnesota demonstrated, that's all it
takes. In the west, we'd be shoe-ins. Anyway, now is the time to start
competing. Get that ball movement going....I hope Chauncey Billups has top
passing skills.
