Otis My Man

Has anyone heard anything concerning Otis Thorpe's future with Detroit? 
 Last I heard, Doug Collins was dying to get rid of him.  Assuming 
Detroit can't (or won't) work a deal with the Sixers for Coleman, could 
we get away with trading some combination of Barros, Minor &/or Ellison 
to get Thorpe?  He's 35 and has two years left @ $6M per.  Not only 
would making such a deal free up some cap room for us in 1999 (Vin 
Baker's out year), but it would give us a proven low post killer who 
could teach Knight and DeClerq a thing or two while allowing Walker to 
slide over to 3 and EW to come off the bench.
