Because they can get a lot for him.  They just got Van Horn and lost a few
good players (Jackson, Thomas).  They have Gatling and Van Horn for big men
and they need some more guards and small forwards.  Williams is a big
player for which they can get a lot for.  And the fact that Williams isn't
Calipari's favorite player.
