I think that Aldridge might have been stretching the story or leaving part of it
out to make the report stronger. If they had a deal on the table to Rick, and 
then changed their mind, big deal. It is a business, and as such we must address
the areas of weakness. Big players are a more pressing need than g-f's. Besides 
if Rick had received such an offer, why did he not take it? 

Why do Wesley or Dino have bitter tastes? David Wesley was a free agent, and he 
signed a fairly decent contract with the Hornets. Dino could not pass a physical
in Philadelphia but he can pass a physical in the Aegean Sea (which is much 
closer to the Club Med he was looking for)? I hope word does spread around the 
league, that the Celtics are no longer going to be happy with the status quo. 
Pitino & Wallace are sending the very serious message that they want to improve 
now and want to compete now. Trust me, the players around the league are going 
to see that Beantown is again coming alive. 

Again, as has been stated previously, the celtics did not get rid of those who 
were making efforts, they were free agents. Wesley's contract was up and Rick 
Fox, the poor martyr, opted out of his contract. He chose to go, he was not 
pushed. Regarding the dead wood, the reason they are still here, is due to the 
fact that no one else wants them either.
