No chance

Unless something dramatic happens to change voter's minds, Antoine Walker 
has no chance at Rookie of the Year.

In yesterday's Rookie Game, he played very well (except for the airball 
FT): team-high 20 points, 9-16 from the field, 9 rebounds and a key steal 
and basket in the final minute.  He didn't outplay Iverson (19 pts., 9 
assists, lots of flash) or Bryant (31 spectacular points), but he was at 
least equal to Camby (18 points, 12 rebs.).  Yet, in several news reports 
I saw today, Walker was an afterthought, mentioned only in the last 
paragraph.  On "Inside Stuff," he was called "Antonio."

Since the ROY is chosen by writers and broadcasters, these news reports 
are not a good omen for Antoine's chances.
