 Boston Celtics (14-13) at Phoenix Suns (17-9), 9 p.m.

Phoenix edged the Celtics, 112-108, in overtime on November
28. The two squads have split their two-game season series in
each of the last three seasons, although Phoenix has won the last
two encounters in the series.

Boston earned a big win Sunday, beating the Lakers 108-102
in Inglewood. The young Celtics have won five of their last six.
Boston is 1-1 on its three-game road trip, and 4-7 away from the
FleetCenter this season. Boston has split its four games against
the Pacific Division.

The Suns' 106-97 loss to Seattle at America West Arena on
Sunday halted a four-game winning streak. Phoenix lost more
than the game Sunday, as sixth-man Danny Manning went down
with an abdominal strain and will be sidelined two weeks. Point
guard Jason Kidd sprained his ankle, but is expected to be available
tonight. The Suns have won six of their last seven at home, and are
10-4 overall as host this season.

Boston (14-13) at Phoenix (17-9) 9:00 pm EST

Coach Rick Pitino looks to continue his remarkable turnaround
of the Boston Celtics tonight when they visit the Phoenix Suns
in an effort to try to match their win total for all of last season.

The Celtics, one of the most storied franchises in all of professional
sports, fell on hard times last season and finished 15-67. But the
combination of Pitino and a host of young players, most notably
Antoine Walker, has positioned Boston for win number 15 --
an amazing 58 games before last season's April 18th victory.

Walker scored 12 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter and rookie
Chauncey Billups forced a key turnover in the final minute as the
Celtics downed the Los Angeles Lakers, 108-102, Sunday.

Boston has won five of its last six games and seven this month.
A victory tonight gives the Celtics their best December since going
9-4 in 1991.

The Suns had their four-game winning streak halted on Sunday in a
hard-fought 106-97 loss to the Seattle SuperSonics.

Phoenix, which scratched out a 112-108 overtime victory in
Boston on November 28th, has not lost to the Celtics at home
since February 21st, 1995.

Point guard Jason Kidd is listed as probable for tonight's game
after suffering a sprained ankle on Sunday. The loss also snapped
a three-game home winning streak. Suns forward Danny Manning
will not play due to an abdominal strain.

CELTICS REPORT

The Celtics went over .500 and possibly
renewed a heated old rivalry with a suprising
108-102 victory in Los Angeles against the
Lakers. Boston's fifth win in six games
improved its record to 14-13 and moved it
within one victory of matching its win total for
all of last season. ...

Former Celtic F Rick Fox
scored 27 points against his old team. ...

Antonio Walker scored 12 of his 28 points in
the final quarter and pulled down 13 rebounds.

"This is Antonio Walker's best game, I think,"
Boston coach Rick Pitino said. "I don't
remember him taking a bad shot. He had
rebounds, assists and he was there defensively.
He gave us a big lift."

SUNS REPORT

Phoenix won, 106-97, Sunday over the San
Antonio Spurs but may have lost PG Jason
Kidd to an ankle injury. Kidd had 11 points,
eight assists and five rebounds before spraining
his ankle attempting a jumper.

"Yeah, I grabbed
it (the ankle) right away," said Kidd. "I was
hoping it wasn't serious. I didn't feel too bad
after I got up, but they wanted to make sure
everything was all right. It's a sprain, it's
day-to-day. I'll have to see how I am tomorrow
and maybe I'll go Tuesday (against Boston)."
