Clippers Game

My husband and I went to our first home game last night. What a yawn for
the first three quarters (I was having flahbacks to last year). I was ready
to cheer and jump and pump, but it took three quarters for the Celtics and
the crowd to get into it.

The Clippers looked lightening quick and they rebound very well. Antoine
"Sorry, I'm not giving up the ball no matter what on the break 'cause I
think I have the best chance of scoring" Walker NEEDs to give up the ball
on the break. Maybe his teammates could sign an agreement with him that
states that he WILL get the ball back no matter what. I see this as the
team's biggest weakness in the flow of the game. There is never anybody
swooping in from the wings to make the big uncontested jam. The Clippers
were doing that very well. Isn't fastbreaking a fundamental skill that is
taught in gyms all over the world at any early age? Don't I remember
learning the 3-women weave?

I was sad to hear about Ewing. For about a minute. And only 'cause I knew
my husband would be upset. And then again 'cause Patrick did play
locally....Cambridge Rindge and Latin High. I'm not sad for the Knicks
though.

Roy Rogers is number 99. Hmmm.

This Celtic team is so young. In the program book they show the class years
of each player (as if they graduate anymore) and Chauncy and Ron are listed
as Class of '99.

Antoine Walker is the Drew Bledsoe of the Celtics. Great skills, bad
decisions. Helps his team immeasureably just by showing up, but can hurt
the flow of the game with horrendous decisions resulting in turnovers and
momentum shifts (especially hard on cheering fans).
