RE: Former Celtic Montross (and Stackhouse)
Take a look at this Michael Stewart kid in Sacramento. He got his first
start last night and got 15 boards. If Sacramento knows they won't be able
to resign him I don't know if there is a way to trade for a guy and extend
his contract. He & Mashburn would be excellent. I would give up anyone
except Billups Mercer Bowen & Walker. All the others are expendable at the
right price. Corliss Williamson has been playing well also.

I never bought into the "patient approach", because teams that subscribed
to it
never went anywhere e.g. Milwaukee, Washington, Dallas, Sacramento etc. I
belive
that any time you have a chance to add a quality player you should take it.
We
have 15 players out of which clearly 4 are expendable because either we
have
better players in our starting rotation with similiar skills or RP doesn't
care
for their skills. Like Detroit, we could have traded Roy Rogers + <some
guard or
forward> + a restricted draft pick for Stack.
Now regarding trades, here are players who I would be interested in and
think
can improve the team:
Golden State: Joe Smith
Portland: Gary Trent
Clippers: Loy Vaught <depending on his injury status>
Charlotte: Matt Geiger, Dell Curry
Cleveland: Vitally Potapenko
Wizards: Terry Davis
