Billups

Regardless of what Couz says, I think Billups is playing alot better these
last two games. He still is making the crazy pass in the air which is a habit
that he has to get rid of and that is why Couz is on him so bad.( Actually, I
think Couz is alittle overcritical of the Celtic pointguards, probably because
he is comparing them to himself.) Chauncey's greatest attribute will be his
scoring ability. He took his shots much more within the flow of the game. He
executed the pick and roll the other night perfectly except Knight didn't
make the shot. This guy really does have big time potential. I am changing my
mind on trading him now. The biggest reason is that he took his bench time
like a man and now he is earning his playing time. He also seems to be
disgusted with himself when he does get caught in the air so he does seem
willing to learn. Although we got spanked by Miami, I felt it was worth it to
get Billups back on his feet. One other note: Did you notice how early on
Murdoch was really overplaying on Billups (like he did on the first game) and
how Billups did the proper thing and just drove around him, under control and
tried to create and instead of turning his back or getting rattled? By the
second half, Murdoch was playing back on him, respecting his dribble. Billups
is learning!!!
